Coffee roasters across the UK and Europe switch to Moree's reusable bags

London-based Moree, SEE UP’s first cohort startup, co-founded by Dejan Mitrović and Clare Brass, makes reusable SmartPak bags for coffee roasters built for 100+ uses, tracked through its MoreeOS software. A growing list of roasters is replacing single-use packaging with them, and this year has been particularly successful.

In January, Doe & Fawn Coffee Roasters announced its switch to Moree's wholesale bags, citing up to 92% fewer emissions. In October, B Corp roaster Dark Woods Coffee replaced its old cans with Moree bags.

Customers describe the gains in their own words:

  • Origin: "Our CEO loves Moree so much, he's made it a key part of our sales pitch to new customers!" (Sarah Walker, Sustainability Lead)
  • Carnival Coffee Roasters: waste removed from the delivery chain and storage space saved in a tight London site. "Using Moree packs means our cafe customers are able to get our delicious coffee without any waste." (Jayne Cromwell, Founder)
  • The Roasting Shed: "Moree's 5kg SmartPaks have sped up our operations and enabled us to ditch single use plastic." (Ricardo Rendon, Founder)
  • Mala Pražarna: "The Moree bags store, seal and de-gas very well and perfectly preserve the fabulous flavours of my coffee!" (Sabin Minea, Founder)
  • Caravan: "Our custom-branded Moree bags really reflect Caravan's brand values when we hand them over to clients." (Georgina C., Head of Production)
