Earlier this year, SEE UP Accelerator had the pleasure of hosting a three-day visit from some of the world’s top startup accelerators, marking an important step in connecting Serbia’s growing innovation ecosystem with global networks. The visit was designed to foster deeper collaboration, explore market entry opportunities, and showcase the potential of Southeast Europe as a rising innovation hub.

A Global Delegation with a Shared Mission

The delegation included senior leaders from globally renowned programs:

Startupbootcamp Italy: Nazzareno Mengoni (Managing Director Southern Europe) and Matteo Levi (Director of Acceleration)

Founders Factory: Nicholas Stephen Le Fevre (Director of Partnerships)

Alchemist Accelerator: Annika Lauer (Director of Operations)

Tenity: Andreas Iten (CEO & Co-Founder) and Brigitta Gyoerfi (Hub Director)

Over three days, these international guests met with key innovation stakeholders in Serbia from government representatives and public funds to private investors and startup founders. The program, curated by SEE UP, combined strategic meetings with hands-on sessions, allowing for open dialogue and honest insight into the Serbian innovation landscape.

SEE UP as a Gateway to Southeast Europe

One of the highlights of the visit was a dedicated session at SEE UP Accelerator, where delegates were introduced to the accelerator’s unique approach to supporting early-stage, market-validated startups in sectors like FinTech, Health, Pet Tech, Biotech, and FMCG.

In addition to showcasing SEE UP’s operational model and portfolio, the meeting brought together representatives of the local VC community, including TS Ventures, South Central Ventures, Innotechnics, and faculty from FEFA University. The session sparked discussions around co-investment strategies, regional scalability, and bridging early-stage capital gaps.

A Platform for the Future

This visit was more than a showcase — it was a signal that Serbia is ready to play an active role in the global innovation economy. As the first private accelerator in Southeast Europe, SEE UP is proud to facilitate these connections and help position the region as a destination for innovation, talent, and cross-border partnerships.

We’re excited for what’s ahead.
